Integrating PeopleStrong with Empuls for automated user data management

Empuls and PeopleStrong help you automate user data management and seamlessly drive people initiatives across your organisation.

With this integration, you can:

  • You can automatically sync data to Empuls when you add new hires, delete exited employees, and update employee data in PeopleStrong.

  • Import employee birthday and work anniversary data from PeopleStrong to celebrate these special days with automated greetings and gifts.

Once this integration is enabled, the data sync once every 24 hours between Empuls and your PeopleStrong account will happen.

How to Set Up This Integration?

Step 1: Log in to your Empuls account.

Step 2: Click on Settings from the left-hand menu.

Step 3: Navigate to Other settings and click on Integrations.

Step 4: Navigate to the HRMS Applications and click on the PeopleStrong app.

Step 5: Click on ADD PeopleStrong button to start the integration.

Step 6: On this screen, enter the API Key and Authorization key. Click on TEST CONNECTION & PROCEED to select the data fields to be integrated.

Step 7: In this step, you will select the data fields to be imported to Empuls. By default, all the boxes are checked. You can uncheck the boxes for data that you do not wish to import to Empuls. For example, if you do not want to import the Work Contact Number data, then uncheck this field. You will not be able to take any action on boxes that are greyed out, like the First Name and Last Name.

Click the SELECT DATA FIELDS button after making your selections.

Step 8: Download data to validate

Admins can download employee data in CSV format before uploading to Empuls to validate that the data fields are mapped and no record is repeated.

Step 9: In this step, you can choose between two data sync options:

  • Option 1: If you do not wish to upload employee data manually, choose the Run data sync once now option to sync data between Empuls and Freshteam once every 24 hours.

  • Option 2: If you want to start the automatic data sync later, choose the Schedule first data sync for the later option. Once you are ready to start the automatic sync in the future, repeat the above steps and select option 1.

Click on SAVE & FINISH after choosing one of the options.

You will now see a message confirming that the PeopleStrong integration is successfully enabled.

How to edit this configuration?

Step 1: Log in to your Empuls account.

Step 2: Click on Settings from the left-hand menu.

Step 3: Navigate to Other Settings and click on Integrations.

Step 4: Navigate to the Active Integrations and click on the Freshteam app.

Step 5: Click on the three dots beside the REMOVE PEOPLESTRONG text box. Then click on Edit Configuration.

Step 6: Make changes in the API and Authorisation Key if needed. Click on NEXT.

Step 7: Select the data fields of your choice. Click on Save.

You will now see a message on the top-right of the screen confirming that the configuration update is successful.

How to turn off this integration?

Step 1: Log in to your Empuls account.

Step 2: Click on Settings from the left-hand menu.

Step 3: Navigate to OTHER SETTINGS and click on Integrations.

Step 4: Navigate to the Active Integrations and click on the PEOPLESTRONG app.

Step 5: You can turn off the integration by clicking REMOVE PEOPLESTRONG.

Step 6: You will be prompted on whether you want to remove the integration. Click on REMOVE.
