Manage Gifts
How-To guide for creating, configuring and disabling employee gifts on Empuls
Gifts and greetings are a great way to send wishes to employees on reaching their significant personal and professional milestones. Create gifts targeted to a specific group of individuals.
Navigate to Platform Administration > Awards, Values & Gifts to manage all your gift settings.

Types of Gifts

  • Instant Gifts - Gifts for an employee's milestones and special occasions.
  • Festive Gifts - Gifts given on holidays and festivals.
If points are added to a gift, these points will be deducted from the gift owner's budget.

Set Up an Instant Gift

Set up an instant gift to gift an employee on special occasions like being a parent, a wedding gift or a contest winner gift, etc. The system notifies recipients through an email. It does not create automated posts.
Here's how to create Instant gifts:
  1. 1.
    Navigate to Platform Administration > Awards, Values & Gifts .
  2. 2.
    Go to the Instant Gifts tab. Click on SET UP NEW INSTANT GIFT.
  3. 3.
    Setup New Instant Gift page opens. Complete the form with details.
  4. 4.
    Attach points to the gift if required.
  5. 5.
    If you wish to inform the teammates of the recipients of this gift, you can configure that as well.
  6. 6.
    Preview the mail and complete the setup.

Set Up a Festive Gift

Set up Festive gifts to reward users on festive dates like Christmas, Diwali, Eid, New Year, etc. The system notifies recipients through an email. It does not create automated posts.
Here's how to create Festive gifts:
  1. 1.
    Navigate to Platform Administration > Awards, Values & Gifts .
  2. 2.
    Go to the Festive Gifts tab. Click on SET UP NEW FESTIVE GIFT.
  3. 3.
    Setup New Instant Gift page opens. Select a date.
  4. 4.
    Click on the Create new gifts for this date.
  5. 5.
    Complete the form with details.
  6. 6.
    Attach points to the gift if required.
  7. 7.
    If you wish to inform the teammates of the recipients of this gift, you can configure that as well.
  8. 8.
    Preview the mail and complete the setup.

Edit Gift

All the gifts created will be shown in the form of cards on the gift dashboard. These cards will contain a snapshot of the gift.
To edit a gift, click on
on each gift card, then click on EDIT.

Delete Gift

To delete a gift, click on
on each gift card, then click on DELETE .

Send Gifts

Send gifts to users by following the below options.
  • Send it to all users.
  • Specific users - You can filter the recipients by selecting individuals or using tags like Department (dep:), Location (loc:), Bussiness Unit (bu:), Designation(des:), Grade (grd:)
  • Send to specific users by uploading a CSV file.
