Learn how to revoke gifts sent to employees

If gifts need to be taken back (revoked) due to disputes, changes, or human error, the Super Admin can do it in a few simple steps.

Step 1: Navigate to Gifts > Admin > Revoke Gifts.

Step 2: Select the date range during which the gift has to be revoked.

Step 3: Click on the gift and then click Revoke to initiate the process of revoking.

When you revoke an award or gift, the following things occur:

  • Points are revoked back to the nominator's account.

  • The award status is updated in the reports.

  • A notification is sent to the award recipient to inform them of this change.

  • The nominator is notified regarding the revocation of the award.

  • If the nominator is disabled, Empuls can revoke the points to a different user's account.

Q: When should a gift be revoked?
A: Gifts can be revoked in cases of disputes, policy violations, accidental nominations, or any human error.


Q: What happens when a gift is revoked?
A:

  • The points are returned to the nominator’s account.

  • Both the recipient and the nominator receive notifications about the revocation.


Q: Can I revoke gifts from a specific period?
A: Yes. Use the date range filter in Gifts > Admin > Revoke Gifts to view and select gifts within a specific period.


Q: What if the nominator's account is disabled?
A: In such cases, Empuls allows points to be revoked to a different user's account, which can be set manually.
